We’ll be working with dried flowers, branches, and naturally foraged items to make arrangements that don’t require care and/or wreaths to put on your door. Enjoy a calm, creative 75 minutes working with materials that last forever. We cover design principles - from a dance and Japanese perspective - which you can use with all kinds of materials - fresh, silk, or paper flowers.
Materials such as Eucalyptus, thistles, and bitterroot are easy to find at Trader Joe’s (we’ll provide a shortlist for you) or you can order online. For wreath’s you’ll need a base (lots of types available at MICHAELS) or just some chickenwire. We can also deliver materials to you in Brooklyn and Manhattan (separate fee of $50).
